Fruits Basket – Full Translation of Ayame’s Text Message to Hatori

Here’s a full translation of Ayame’s text message to Hatori as seen on episode 15 of Season 2.

So here’s a translation of Ayame’s full text message sent to Hatori during the Parent Teacher Conference episode. I can’t remember how much Crunchyroll translated, but since it’s a huge block of text that only appears for less than a few seconds, I don’t remember it filling the entire screen.

Text sent to Hatori: I can hear it, Yuki’s voice calling out to me! I can’t imagine the kind of face he’ll make upon my dashing arrival. Goodness, I admit that my elation cannot be contained. No, not as much as I would like to admit. I’ll keep you updated. Be patient and await my good news!

Text currently being typed: Gratitude was written all over his face. You can say that our brotherly love has reached mutual reciprocation…

Also, fun fact, on the bottom left of Ayame’s message is 既読 “kidoku” which means “read.” Therefore, Hatori left Ayame on read lol

Props to whoever translates Fruits Basket. Ayame’s speech pattern switches between casual Japanese and then using verb endings such as たまえ tamae and 我 ware which highlights his personality when he gives off a royal disposition.
